I can't cook: I actually cooked

hiii

Right, I've actually cooked a proper meal. One that needed chopping boards and bowls for ingredients and everything. I've been craving a Chinese for ages and haven't yet found a decent one near my flat so I decided that for my first proper post I'd make something Chinese-inspired; cashew chicken stir fry. Promise it's nicer than it sounds! Incase anybody fancies having a nosy at the recipe, here's the link here.

In my first post when I said I genuinely don't cook, I actually wasn't being dramatic for a change. 6 weeks after moving in, my chopping boards, pyrex jug and wee wooden spatula thing still have the labels on...

I love Ikea, chopping boards

This recipe is so easy, even I managed to follow it with no issues. Basically, cut and cook your chicken, cut your veg, mix up your sauce and fling it all in a frying pan. I changed a few things; used tender stem broccoli instead of normal stuff because I'm fancy and added the cornflour in at the end because I forgot about it. These things happen. One thing I realised whilst making this though is that my portion control is rubbish; my portion of rice could easily have fed 3 folk. Ate it all myself, no regrets xxx (see massive bowl of rice below if you want to be impressed)

I probably should include an actual pic of the meal considering that is the whole point of this blog... Obviously it wasn't anywhere near as good as a proper Chinese but it was a decent substitute, 8/10.

Big thank you if you've read this!! I'll make something more exciting next time for my loyal readers. Plz like and share xxx
